The 6th International Satellite Navigation ForumThe International Satellite Navigation Forum 2012 will takes place on 17-18 April, 2012, in Moscow, at the Central Exhibition Centre “Expocentre”. The Forum represents the central event of year in the field of social and commercial use of satellite navigation technologies and, first of all, the Russian satellite navigation system GLONASS. The main purpose of the Forum is to inform a wide Russian and foreign audience on the state and plans of the development of satellite navigation systems, on the national policy in the field of the use of the system GLONASS in Russia, innovative technologies, the newest equipment of satellite navigation and services, the international experience of the use of navigation systems, the creation of unified international standards in satellite navigation. The organizers of the event hope, that the program of the Forum 2012 will be the most comprehensive and interesting of all the previous years and will cover all directions of the use of satellite navigation systems in the economy of Russia. There will be a special section devoted to the fundamentals of satellite navigation, principles of building and operating of the global satellite systems GPS and GLONASS, regional satellite navigation systems and issues of enhancing the efficiency of their use, and will be interesting for both the experts in this field, and broad audience interested in navigation. Individual sections on building the system of emergency response to failures of “ERA-GLONASS” and using satellite navigation in transport of various types are planned. More than 100 speakers from Russia, CIS and non-CIS states, representatives of ministries and departments, private companies, and foreign and international organizations will take part in the Forum. The organizing committee has also been considering applications from companies looking to be sponsors of the Forum. |
